Dr. Rakesh Arrawatia

Dr Rakesh Arrawatia is a professor finance at IRMA and Managing Director at IRMA ISEED Foundation. He also holds an adjunct position at Centre for Cooperatives and Livelihoods, LBSNAA.

Distinguished professor at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and an adjunct faculty member at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). He is also a founder member of the World Cooperation Economic Forum (WCoopEF), an organization aimed at promoting cooperative thinking and addressing global cooperative sector issues.

Dr.Arrawatia’s academic contributions are substantial, with numerous publications in reputed journals such as the Journal of Advances in Management Research and the European Journal of Business and Management. His work often focuses on competition assessment in the banking sector and financial management in cooperatives.

In addition to his academic role, Dr.Arrawatia has coordinated and instructed multiple management development programs (MDPs), including those for senior management in various organizations and specialized training for agribusiness entrepreneurs and cooperative officials. His commitment to fostering social entrepreneurship and cooperative development is evident through his involvement with the IRMA ISEED Foundation, which supports startup bootcamps and other initiatives for budding entrepreneurs.

As a key figure in the WCoopEF, Dr.Arrawatia collaborates with international experts to shape the future of the cooperative economy, aiming to build strong and prosperous communities worldwide. His efforts continue to impact both the academic sphere and the cooperative movement globally.
