Kamana Jha

Director, World Cooperation Economic Forum

Connecting Minds for National Integration
Hailing from the sacred land of Janak and Janki—Mithilanchal, the heart of cultural wisdom and spiritual resilience—Kamana Jha carries forward the legacy of service, intellect, and selfless leadership. Rooted deeply in the soil of Bihar’s ancient civilization, she embodies the spirit of Sita’s strength and Janak’s wisdom. Her journey from this culturally rich region to becoming a nationally respected leader in cooperative development is a testament to her unwavering commitment to collective upliftment and social equity.

As a member Board of Director of the World Cooperation Economic Forum, Kamana has emerged as a national voice championing cooperative water governance, rural empowerment, and inclusive growth. Her efforts in designing people-centric, technology-enabled water resource systems have earned her accolades and admiration across India’s development landscape. Whether resolving inter-state water disputes or developing digital platforms for equitable irrigation, she has turned policy into purpose and vision into action.

Kamana’s work is not merely technical; it is a deeply emotional mission to restore dignity and prosperity to India’s villages. She believes that water—our most precious resource—must be governed cooperatively, ensuring that every farmer, especially the smallest and most vulnerable, receives their rightful share. Her leadership in the rejuvenation of the Kosi and Kamla Canal systems, where she led a comprehensive environmental resource management project, has revitalized agricultural lifelines in northern Bihar. This effort has become a model of participatory planning, blending traditional knowledge with modern systems.
As the Managing Director of Kam Kanakdurga Education & Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd., she has led transformative projects across sectors like education, agriculture, digital governance, and environment. In Andhra Pradesh, she implemented statewide teacher training for digital transformation in schools. In Bihar, she has worked tirelessly to create flood management decision-support systems, helping protect both lives and livelihoods.

Kamana’s strength lies in connecting disparate worlds—technology and tradition, rural and urban, grassroots and government. Her pioneering work in organizing self-help groups for rural women and promoting value chain development has empowered countless women to become agents of economic change. These efforts reflect her core belief that sustainable national integration must begin with local cooperation and grassroots leadership.
With professional experience spanning partnerships with GIZ, NABARD, UNIDO, and state governments, Kamana brings a rare combination of field insight, policy knowledge, and strategic vision. Her academic foundation in Law, Public Personnel Management, and Commerce enables her to navigate and shape institutional reforms with clarity and conviction.

Today, at the World Cooperation Economic Forum, she serves as a unifying force—connecting minds, communities, and cooperatives to build a new model of development. One where water is shared with justice, where governance includes every voice, and where the legacy of Mithila shines through every act of service.
Kamana Jha’s journey is not just inspiring—it is symbolic of a rising India led by cooperative spirit, emotional intelligence, and unwavering resolve.
